Cosmopolis

There are more than eight billion people on Earth. Most of us live in cities, the metropolis, and for many that is all they have known.

The Cosmopolis works are inspired by the human vibrancy of cities; the inter-connected writhing carnal urban orbiting organisms that are cities at night. Tokyo at two am, pavements and alleyways reflecting the rain; intensified by red light, strobes, characters and reflections. The original Bladerunner; I call it the Crimson City. London’s Soho at midnight; beer on carpets, smells and sauce. Falling over pavements. Chewing gum on the floor. Where’s my cell-phone? Shouting, happiness, music and street-dance. This is the stuff of modern life.
